Back safely in Waco after a bit away for Christmas. Currently drowning in fabulous Yuletide recs in every fandom imaginable. I got lots of wonderful, amazing gifts from loved peoples and I'll make a post later with pictures, if I can find my camera charger. I'm really behind on comments and the flist, but I promise to return full speed in the new year. Next week, I'm going back to Houston to work for my grandmother because I'm STILL STILL unemployed. It's going to be a busy end of December.

Back in Waco and this week is going to be a lot harder than we thought. Ian works both Christmas Eve and the day after Christmas. :( The trip to Houston is going to be short. At least we have our Christmas cards for the family bought and almost done. They'll arrive late, but he's not concerned so I'm trying not to be. We opened one of OUR gifts today - he opened the set of Paul Mitchell Tea Tree hair products I got for him and I got Assassin's Creed 2 from him! :D :D :D I'm so excited. We've been playing for a few hours and it's awesome. I love Ezio! He has a great personality and the story is a lot more personal than Altair's. I'm still trying to get into the game as Ezio (I'm still basically in tutorial mode), but it's a great looking game. It picks up EXACTLY where the last one left off and Desmond and Lucy can kick some ass. Assassin's Creed fans will love this one if they haven't already picked it up.
Ian works from 7 to 2 tomorrow, so it'll be a long day of ... nothing really. I applied for another job, this time at the zoo but I haven't heard from them. Not that I expected anything on a Saturday, but it would have been nice to get an e-mail that they received my application at least. The job hunt is getting harder to deal with. I'm out of places to apply or it feels like it. I'm still waiting to hear back from a couple places that are supposed to send me applications via e-mail.... *sigh*. We'll see. In my spare time, I'm thinking about restarting my YouTube channel with makeup and book review videos. We have much better light in the bedroom now and I'd love to have some more interaction... School is out and I'm feeling a little disconnected. I don't know how to explain it.
I'm thinking of starting a journal from my MapleStory character's point of view. I know it sounds a little lame, but I need some sort of creative outlet. I'm not really writing fic anymore and I don't have the room and materials for costuming until we move into someplace a little bigger.
I did get my book list for my next set of classes though! I love syllabuses and book lists and stuff. I don't know why but I think they are the bestest things ever. I love putting things on my "to do" list and checking them off when I'm done. I need that. It makes me feel accomplished lol.

Behind on everything. I didn't think I was ... until I realized that Christmas is a week away! WHAT!
I'm in Houston for the day, finishing up the shopping as much as possible and trying not to let my mother yell at me to go to bed bother me. I got Ian's family, Ian, my sister and my grandmother their gifts today - a pretty big chunk of my list. I want to get a couple more things for Ian, but they aren't that pressing. They're things I could pick up at the very very last minute and they would be just fine. I'm going to my grandparent's house tomorrow (it's closer to Ian's parent's place and therefore, my ride back to Waco) and I'm sure I'll be able to finish up a lot of my shopping there.
A quick rundown of everything else.... finished Assassin's Creed and yes the end blew my mind and my inner history geek is going insane, lost another three pounds and am totally proud, got to play with the roommate's girlfriend's adorable new puppy, cleaned the apartment, did laundry, got my grade for my political science class (A+ !! 4.0 so far for the semester lol!), got my book lists for my new classes and can't wait to start reading, leveled up lots in MapleStory, joined a MapleStory community that I think might be fun where I write journals from my character's perspective, started catching up with comments and omg there are lots of them, watched lots of movies, and am going to apply for a job with AQA/![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) abbichicken's work stuff as my job search in Waco is going like fail.
That's my life for the last week.
